Online sources
This page contains links related to the library and academic sources in general.
Library guide:
This is the link to the library subject guide for Education. Once on the website you can get more information on using the service by clicking the 'Help sheet' / 'Databases' or 'Library Training' tab.
Athens Service:
There are a variety of journals available once you log in to Athens (use your IT user ID, found on the back of your student card, and password).
Here is a guide to 'Logging in to Athens via the student homepage and external websites'.
Databases on Athens:
EBSCOhost EJS for example is a useful database through which you can search for and find The British Educational Research Journal, the Action Research journal and others. REMEMBER: If you find a journal online (maybe through google) that you wish to access and the full text needs to be payed for, then look in the 'log in' options for something to do with Athens. Middlesex may be registered to access this journal and this means you can too.
If you do not know your login details or have forgotten them, then do the following:
- Visit the Web Help Desk,
- set-up an account to use the service,
- request a user name and password.
