MA Education Pathway 

Innovative Learning using Technology

Module Information


Welcome to ‘Innovative Learning using Technology’ module. 
The aims of this programme are
•    To critically analyse how technology influences learning
•    To develop the use of innovative technology within the classroom
•    To use technology to raise attainment.
This programme is presented as a May start module.
It is delivered entirely online via HotSeats and Learning Conversations. You will be able to access course materials, contact the course tutor and contribute to discussions  at  times that are suitable to you.

Entry Requirements
•    Must have QTS

Syllabus and Assignment
This is an innovative module that looks at the affects of student learning once technology is used within the classroom.

Portfolio of Tasks (4000 words in total)
Participants will take part in online tasks  such as 
•    Games Based Learning
•    The use of VLE to promote online learning
•    The use of Blogs in education
•    How the use of technology support teacher monitoring and assessment
•    Playful Learning
•    How does the use of Technology promote an inclusive environment within the classroom
•    How does the use of Technology raise attainment
•    Literacy, learning and ICT
•    Podcasting in Education
You will collect data and try new approaches which you will comment on and add to your portfolio (6000 words in total)

An Action Enquiry containing (8000 words in total)
•    A needs analysis and justification for your focus (2000 words)
•    A literature review (2000 words)
•    An outline of data collection and analysis procedure (1000 words)
•    An analysis of the results (3000 words)
Completion and submission of the assignment is May 2012.
