Developing Professional Practice: NPSLBA

Welcome

NPSLBA is a National Strategies programme has not been validated as a separate module as part of the MA Education programme. To save time and costs and because of uncertainty about numbers, Mdx suggests that NPSLBA is incorporated within an existing generic module called "Developing Professional Practice".

There is a generic module guide (i.e.  not one specifically written for NPSLBA) for this module that may be helpful. Below we have indicated some modifications of the generic guide, which attempts to encompass what you have been asked to do for the NPSLBA programme (as far as it is indicated by the NPSLBA materials.

Candidates will need to adapt this guidance and seek feedback in submitting a portfolio for the Masters module (as opposed to the NPSLBA)

You must undertake the full NPSLBA programme and tasks but ensure that this meets the requirements of the module and the QAA criteria for level and scale.

Registration and Cohort

Candidates are registered at the start of one years study with an appointed tutor. Application forms are here. Start dates are May, September and January.  The fee is currently £780 for those with QTS,

You must be in a 'cohort" of the University and looked after either by a memeber of staff, or a partner organsisation.

You will then have full student status including access to the university library and electronic resources.

The Quality Criteria for the Module
